I used to fish wearing a mesh fishing vest, and it was really hot.  Turns out when you fill the pockets with stuff they don't breathe anymore.  And the mesh didn't breathe that well to begin with.  Just my two coppers.

I freaking LOVE that fanny packs are cool again :)

They have always been cool LOL and you misspelled Utility Pouch

10+ years ago I was at a local Con and one a 4 day pass to Gen Con. As part of the prize package they gave me (2) Gen Con branded belts/fanny packs with all kinds on pockets. I should see if I kept them maybe throw them in the flea market

depends on the year and what I'm doing of course. I'f I'm playing only, then its a small cross body bag, can sling it in front or behind, as needs or comfort dictate. In that case here's the contents list:
- dice
- pencils
- sharpie
- a few index cards
- bottle of water
- cough drops
- breath mints
- charger (never needed to use one, but just in case)
- granola bars, nuts
- 3 clementines
- spare mask
- hand sanitizer
- TUMS
- Advil

If I'm GMing and need materials for it then its unfortunately a backpack. Contains same as above but in addition
- even more index cards
- sticky notes
- printed adventure notes
- pre-gens for said games.
- BIGGER bottle of hand sanitizer. Pump style. goes on the table when I'm GMing.

Also, never underestimate the power of cargo shorts :)

I'll have my Swiss Gear backpack with the following:
-Two playmats
-M:tG Commander decks
-Final Fantasy TCG decks
-Trade binder
-Water bottle
-Wild Bill's soda mug (gonna get the all-you-can-drink again)
-Masks (Same as above poster, to avoid con crud)
I don't think I'm willing to wait in the refill lines though, otherwise I'd bring mine. I do like the mug.

I've been toying with the idea of being a roving Cleric and filling a backpack with water, snacks, first aid items, tylenol/ibuprofen, etc. I've had a couple occasions where that would have been nice to have, and as a nurse I've developed a reflex to go check someone out if they're having a problem. I've occasionally seen people be costume repair clerics or first aid/snack/hydration stations at cons. I don't know how helpful that actually is though.

For the cost and the diabetes 20x multiplier I just can't justify it.

Now if was was for craft beer.....

I remember the con clerics were asked to stop handing out actual medication in 2019 I believe, and I cannot imagine that has changed, as innocuous as the behavior is of course.  Hard to imagine anyone objecting to band-aids or water though?

Also Hanharama you really should always keep branded Gen-Con things, someone will always pay something akin to the original price for them down the line.  Well almost always.  Or in the case of the program guide you can make literally infinite profit by selling them!
