Rather than ask unknowable questions at this point regarding the specific health and safety protocols that will be in place in September (still evolving), I have a couple of questions raised by a couple of statements in the April Health and Safety Update that aren't directly health and safety related.
First, the Update states: "Not all of our usual exhibitors and partners will be able to join us in Indianapolis." I understand that some smaller exhibitors may not/cannot attend, but can you confirm that the larger exhibitors will attend, for example Paizo and Fantasy Flight Games?
Second, the Update states: "We are working closely with our exhibiting partners on ways to avoid crowds including no first-come, first-served exclusives." Does this mean that Gen Con is prohibiting exclusives completely, or simply the "first-come, first-served" aspect? I have really enjoyed the opportunity to get exclusives at Gen Con in the past so eliminating them would lessen the Exhibit Hall experience. That said, I completely understand not wanting large groups of people rushing/waiting for those exclusives. However, it seems that there would be alternatives such as ticketed times for the exclusives (separate from the ticketed times for the Exhibit Hall itself), a random drawing (held in advance of Gen Con) etc.
Thanks for all of your hard work making Gen Con happen this year.
We cannot confirm which exhibitors will be able to attend at this time, when we have a list to publish we will do so.
Other then the statement as written, we do not have any new information about exclusives. If companies can come up with unique ways that avoid crowds then that would certainly be an option in this case.

Has there been anymore info, on how folks will be 'marshalled' into and out of the exhibiter hall?
LOL.. I wonder, if someone would make that pic, a screen-saver..
