Trade Day Event Hosts
Welcome Trade Day Event Hosts, Presenters, Event Organizers!
Gen Con is always looking for content from professionals and experts in the field offering valuable learning experiences, and Trade Day is no exception. If you have something to offer/share with the Trade Day audience of retailers, educators, librarians, and health professionals we want to hear from you!
A couple of things to know:
- The policies and procedures listed herein apply to Trade Day only.
- Trade Day is held on Wednesday prior to Gen Con.
- There is no cost to you for hosting a Trade Day event.
- In order to submit an event, you must have an account in the Gen Con system.

- Trade Day will stop accepting events for the program in early May.
- There is no cost to host an event for Trade Day (or for Gen Con).
- Be sure to indicate in your event submission if you want AV. This is not automatic.
Note regarding Game Design events: Trade Day is not accepting events related to Game Design; please do not submit them to the Trade Day program. Game Design Academy events on Wednesday are curated by our Academy Coordinators. Feel free to submit your game design related event to be hosted during Gen Con.
Trade Day Event Host Policy
This document will give you an understanding of what to expect and what is expected when hosting an event for Trade Day. It also has step-by-step instructions for submitting a Trade Day event. Review the Trade Day Event Host Policy.
Badges
The Trade Day badge policy is subject to change and will be listed in the Trade Day Event Host Policy. For now, here is general Trade Day badge information.
- Trade Day events hosts should not purchase a Trade Day badge.*
- A Trade Day event host is eligible to receive one (1) complementary badge for a Trade Day event status of "active".
- Event hosts may receive one badge for hosting one or more events for Trade Day.
- The Trade Day Host badge is also a complimentary 4-day badge to Gen Con Indy.
- The Trade Day Host badge allows you to register for Trade Day events!
* If you want access to the Attendee housing lottery, purchase a 4-day badge. It can be refunded once your event has the status of "active" and a complimentary Trade Day Host badge added to your account.
